My phone died by 11am today while at work, while NOT using my phone. I thought that was weird, but whatever. After I get it plugged in back at my desk I notice we are suddenly over our data limit for the cycle. WTF! Start looking at the data useage and see this
I take a look at my phone’s data tracker and it indicates most of this was used by the Imgur app. Seriously, WTF! Is it even possbile to look at 1GB of images per hour unless you’re watching a movie? Screw you phone! And especially screw you Imgur app? Guess who’s getting deleted from the phone. Fuck.
Have a car...whatever the hell it is

I’m wondering if you have it stuck in some kind of upload loop. Did you ever have it fail at uploading a photo?
I’m not sure if this is even a thing, but I’d imagine a failed upload could lead to the application trying... and trying...

Not sure, but I turned off my data for now and removed Imgur. I haven’t uploaded anything recently either, though I have been having issues lately with the Imgur app not loading images. I would click on something and the loading symbol would just sit there and spin ad infinitum.

Android and iOS both have a setting where you can turn off cellular data for specific apps. I know android also can restrict apps from using data in the background.

I don’t have any issues with the imgur app.

Clearly “loading” meant “LOADING ALL OF IMGUR LOL”.

Lucky you lol. I think my phone’s on it’s last leg to be honest...though everything else seems to function adequately still, just the Imgur app is a problem
